Postgraduate Medical Education (PGME) registration for the 2025-2026 academic year will begin on April 16, 2025 at 12PM. At this time, you will receive an email from PGME with detailed instructions for how to complete registration.
New Residents
Resident registration is mandatory; failure to complete registration in a timely manner will result in a delay of the commencement of your training program. New residents should follow the steps in the New Residents Registration Guide.
Returning Residents
Returning residents are required to update their contact information annually in the Resident Management System (RMS) during the registration period. Please note that letters of offer are term-based, and are only issued (and signed electronically) through RMS at the start of a UBC residency training program. You will not be required to sign a letter of offer for the 2025-26 academic year if you signed your letter of offer electronically in RMS in a previous academic year, and are not starting a new program in 2025-26.
Returning residents must also remember to login to Workday and pay the registration fee once it has been posted by enrollment services.
