Verifying your diploma, getting educational licensing and medical liability protection to start your training on time.

All residents are required to obtain and maintain an active postgraduate educational license from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC (CPSBC) for the duration of their residency training. Residents will not be permitted to start their residency training until they have received confirmation from CPSBC via email that their license has been issued. In addition to an educational license, all residents must have medical liability protection through the Canadian Medical Protective Association throughout their training.
