Getting Started at UBC

The first chapter in your residency journey is officially registering as a UBC resident. All UBC residents must activate a Campus-Wide Login (CWL) account with Multi-Factor Authentication for access to most UBC systems. With a CWL account, you can activate your UBC-issued email address which is required for communication with UBC and to obtain clinical access.

After setting up your CWL and UBC email address, you can complete your UBC Resident Management System (RMS) registration which includes signing your Letter of Offer. Failure to complete registration will result in a delay to start training.

You will also be able to access the UBC student information system, currently the Student Services Centre (SSC) and transitioning to Workday Student soon, where you will pay your annual UBC registration fee and complete direct deposit information for any reimbursements processed through UBC.
