International Medical Graduate Office

The International Medical Graduate Office oversees the UBC Clinical Assessment Program (CAP), which provides a transparent and equitable process designed to support residency programs’ assessment of candidates’ past clinical experience as both a learner and a practitioner, and to evaluate their potential for success in residency training and suitability for working in communities across B.C. In addition, it organizes and delivers an orientation to help international medical graduates who obtain a residency position in B.C. gain a deeper understanding of the Canadian medical system, and be exposed to tools and resources that will facilitate their success over the course of their residency training.
